The R1 Recumbent Lifecycle with Basic Console maintains Lifecycle’s usual levels of excellence in comfort, quality and technology. Even though the version with the basic console is not quite as technologically supreme as the advanced console, it still packs quite a punch of features. There are 20 different resistance levels, as well as five different workout options: Manual, Hill, EZ Incline/Resistance, Random, and Sport Training. The interface is very user-friendly, and the user’s heart rate is monitored using contact sensors. The display on the console covers all the standard statistics, including calories burnt, target heart rate, actual heart rate, level, and distance, time and speed. The bike also comes equipped with a Quick Start and Cool Down mode.
There are different features for user-comfort too. The recumbent seat is designed to ensure a comfortable posture without any back trouble or pain, and there are both, front-mounted and side-mounted handlebars. The R1 Recumbent Lifecycle with Basic Console also comes with a special reading rack and a water bottle holder mounted on the front. The bike is also very easy to install. The instructions are detailed and clear and all the necessary tools come with the package. Installation should not take longer than an hour.
Along with all these advantages comes the invaluable reliability and assurance of quality that is invariably associated with the Lifecycle brand name. The company has been manufacturing exercise bikes for 30 years now, and over this time-span it has become the market leader. Some of the top gyms in the UK swear by Lifecycle’s quality and reliability, as do some major sports team.
The construction of the Life Fitness R1 recumbent is flawless and its sturdy steel frame has a lifetime warranty. The alternator comes with a five year warranty, and there is a three year warranty on all the other parts. The bike can handle user weight of up to 300 pounds.
All in all, the R1 Recumbent Lifecycle with Basic Console is excellent value for money. It offers all the standard functions one would expect from a stationary bike, is excellent in its quality, and is also more affordable than the version with the advanced console.
