The Horizon Comfort 408 is a recumbent fitness bike designed to provide maximum user comfort and a varied workout experience. It is especially useful for those who are looking to initiate an indoor fitness regime to improve their overall health in a motivating and comfortable home environment.
The recumbent design of the Horizon Comfort 408 provides excellent postural comfort, and its ERGOfit seat comes with crucial lumbar support. This is especially necessary for people who have a weak back or have been afflicted by some back ailment. Additionally, the seat of the machine is contoured and fully adjustable for even further user convenience. The user can set the seat height and position according to what serves his/her requirements the best. The Comfort 408 exercise bike also features a step-through design to make getting on and off it easy and convenient for everyone. Furthermore, the freeSPIN technology used in the Comfort 408 allows the user to stop pedalling without any jar or sudden strain. All in all, it is very evident just how much care the engineers of this recumbent have taken to maximise user comfort.
The machine is also very fluid and quiet in its movement and the resistance is very smooth. The ECB Magnetic Brake, which controls the tension, and the sturdy 4.5 kg flywheel combine to realise these advantages. There are 8 programmable resistance levels in this bike, and it features a Poly V drive belt. Typically the machine would require a power outlet to run, but AC batteries are optionally available as well.
The console of the Horizon Comfort 408 features 8 different workout programmes, including 2 custom workouts and 6 other modes: Manual, Rolling, Intervals, Tempo, Weight Loss and Random. With this variety on offer, the user should be able to maintain his/her motivation levels and attain higher levels of fitness. The display features a large LCD screen that provides all the essential workout statistics at a glance. For heart rate monitoring, the machine comes with a Polar Chip Receiver and Hand Pulse Grips. As an additional advantage, it has compact dimensions of 168 x 65 x 75 cm, and is relatively light at 46 kg. It can accommodate a maximum user weight of 135 kg. There is a lifetime warranty on the frame and brake of the Comfort 408, and a 3 year warranty period on the other parts and the labour.
