Exercise Bikes
When it comes to getting in shape, people can find and use every excuse in the book not to work out; from gym memberships are too pricey or too far away to dinner needs to be prepared and ready to go. There are other options out there that can save people money and still allow them time to get things accomplished throughout the day. At home gyms are becoming increasingly popular, and one of the best machines out there for people to acquire in their gym is an exercise bike. Exercise bikes work so many different muscles in so many different ways, that it is hard to think that this one type of machine is affordable and available to the public.
One of the more standard and basic exercise bikes out there is the upright bike. Horizon Fitness has a bike known as the Colima Upright Exercise Bike, which has an LCD display and ECB braking system which is great for beginners. This bike is equipped with a Poly-V belt, which makes working out nearly silent. This particular bike only has one manual program, but offers numerous types of feedback, such as time, speed, RPMs, calories, pulse, distance and even heart rate, which helps the course of getting in shape easier.
Another great exercise bike is the Life Fitness R3 Basic Recumbent Bike. This bike is also a very basic bike, but instead of it being upright, it includes an adjustable lumbar support with 3 settings which offers you more comfort during your workout. Not only is it comfortable, it is also practical with its incorporated reading rack and accessory tray, which nicely holds your iPod and water bottle. Some of the best features on this bike are the front and side mounted handlebars, the reclining feature on the seat with a 20 degree range of motion and heart contact sensors that come equipped to better control your heart rate.
If you are looking for a more advanced type of exercise bike, the Vision Quest R2250 Recumbent Bike-Premier Console is the bike for you. This bike features an ECB-Plus magnetic resistance system and incorporates a 24 pound flywheel for one of the smoothest resistant changes you will find in an exercise bike. The R2250 has a comfortable mesh seat that allows you to adjust the tilt of the seat to keep you comfortable and cool. With the 18 different programs, including SPRINT 8, three HRT, three goal and 5 customizable programs, you will be able to keep your body guessing at the next workout you are going to throw at it.
