Elliptical Cross Trainers
It is so easy to fall into an exercise routine without even realizing it. Going to the gym every day and using the same machines can be quite repetitive and can make your body plateau, instead of continuous progress. With so many different ways of exercising and getting in shape nowadays, there should be no reason why we cannot give our bodies the mix up it deserves. An elliptical trainer can take care of mixing up your routine, while making it fun and enjoyable for you as well.
As with all of the different exercise machines out there, there are different variations of the elliptical trainer. One of the more basic, and cheaper, versions of this elliptical machine is a Horizon Fitness Athos Elliptical Trainer. With 16 levels of resistance to test your strength and stamina and 9 preset work out programs, such as plateau, hill interval, mountain & mountain climb and more, to help keep you more on track with your work out. This elliptical trainer also has a large LCD display which helps to keep track of your heart rate, distance, time, speed, calories burned, and loads. Not only can you just “hop on and go” on the machine, but because of its sleek modern lines, it is also one of the most stylish cross trainers around.
Another popular elliptical machine is a Vision Fitness Vision X1500 Elliptical with Deluxe Console. This machine is a very comfortable piece of exercise equipment, compared to others in its category, mainly because of its pivoting footplates, 3 inch pedal spacing, 18 inch stride length and its ergonomic handlebars. Not only is the X1500 comfortable, it is not a nuisance to have in your home; with a 57”Lx26”W footprint, it takes up less space and with the “Quiet Guide” system and ECB magnetic resistance system it is especially quiet. As with most other trainers, the X1500 comes with hand pulse grips to help monitor your heart rate.
One of the more advanced elliptical trainers out there is the Life Fitness X3 Advanced Elliptical Crosstrainer. And, due to its “WhisperStride” technology, no matter how hard you push yourself during your workout it remains amazingly quiet. The X3 Advanced has many features that help to make it a cut above the rest when it comes to elliptical trainers; the contact heart rate sensors on the immobile handle bars helps to keep your heart rate in check, a total body workout with coordinated upper and lower body movement, and so that you can burn more calories than normal, the X3 Advanced disperses effort to your legs and arms.
Whichever elliptical trainer that you decide to add to your home gym, you want to make sure it is comfortable and can keep your workout routine on edge and constantly changing.
